Pam Am Flt 103 Lockerbie Scotland Bomber to be Released?

Pam Am Flt 103 Lockerbie Scotland Bomber to be Released?
From Radarsite. No, he should stay in prison until
he dies. The passenegers of flight 103 had no second
chances nor did they have any voice except through
the loved ones they left behind.

There are many people who think that Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi is innocent, as he has always claimed so it is only right that his appeal should have been granted or he should be released.

Maybe Americans should spare a thought for the 290 civilians (66 of whom where children) murdered when the USS Vicennes shot down an Iranian Airbus A300 en route to Dubai on July 3rd. 1988.

Perhaps this wasn't worth a mention in the US media; then followed Pan Am Flt.103 bombing!!!

Americans give the impression to the rest of the world that an American life is worth so much more than that one from any other nation, this attitude could be what led to the 9/11 incident.

I could not disagree more, Roger. I am well aware of the Iranian airbus incident but that was an accident, an error that was horrendous. The flight 103 terrorist attack was just that. A deliberate attack to blow an airliner out of the sky. Your attitude about American lives being worth so much more and perhaps that is why 9/11 happened would hold weight with many Muslims and inside most Islamic countries, and elsewhere in the world in places that hate America.

This man should have died in prison, away from his family and friends. I do not buy his innocence and 270 people died on flight 103. NEVER to be with their families and friends ever again. Then again Scotland is following in same path as England so his release was not surprising at all.

One more thing. He never expressed any remorse or sorrow for the death of 270 people, never any regret. I find that equally disturbing and insulting to the familes left behind from the tragedy of flight 103.
